New on miniPCR Digital: Easier sign-in and more account control
miniPCR Digital is an e-learning platform that offers narrative-driven virtual labs in a classroom-ready environment. Students work through real experimental scenarios with biotechnology — analyzing data, making predictions, and interpreting results — while teachers monitor progress and check understanding through autograded assessments. Through miniPCR Digital, we hope to further broaden access to science by enabling meaningful experimentation — even in environments that lack hands-on tools.
Our team aims to better support the teachers and students who rely on miniPCR Digital every day. With that in mind, our latest platform improvements focus on something simple but important: giving users more control over how they access and manage their accounts.
Our latest release introduces two new features designed to reduce friction and streamline classroom use:
- Sign in with Google. Users can now log in to miniPCR Digital using their Google credentials. This speeds up onboarding, minimizes password management, and aligns with the Google-based workflows many schools already use. To take advantage of this new tool, use the “Sign in with Google” button on the sign-in page.

- Enhanced account controls. From within their dashboards, users can now update their email address, change their password, or delete their account without contacting support. These tools make it easier to manage student access, handle school email changes, and give users direct control over their data.
While these updates happen behind the scenes, they are part of the same philosophy that drives our Digital Labs: removing logistical barriers so the focus stays on learning. The less time spent troubleshooting logins or account changes, the more time students can spend analyzing data, making predictions, and engaging with the scientific questions at the center of each investigation.
