From a Cambridge Basement to a New Manufacturing Hub in Massachusetts

Over 12 years ago, our company began with a simple vision: to make molecular biology accessible to everyone. We built the very first prototypes, and even a few production units, in a basement in Cambridge, MA. With the incredible support of our Kickstarter community, what began as a passion project grew into a thriving company.

At a time when many were moving production overseas, we made a different choice: to build our company right here in Massachusetts. Partnering with a local manufacturer wasn’t the easiest path, but it was the right one. Starting small allowed us to refine our designs, improve our products, and stay closely connected to the people who use them. That commitment to local manufacturing has been central to our success.

From this new home, we will continue to ship our accessible biotech tools to the world, bringing the thrill of hands-on science and discovery to everyone, everywhere.

Today, we’re taking a monumental step forward. We’ve officially opened our own dedicated manufacturing facility, just an hour from our central lab. This new home is a continuation of our commitment to our community and our mission. From here, we’ll keep shipping accessible biotech tools to the world, bringing the thrill of hands-on science and discovery to everyone, everywhere.
