Sensitive DNA Detection with SeeGreen™
A safer alternative to ethidium bromide that delivers clear DNA visualization without the premium price tag of other safe DNA stains.
SeeGreen™: Sensitive DNA Detection. Sharp Bands. Better Value.
In agarose gel electrophoresis, a good DNA stain needs to do more than make bands visible. It should reveal low-abundance DNA, produce sharp, well-defined bands, and help researchers distinguish fragments that are close in size—all without adding unnecessary cost to routine lab work.
SeeGreen™ Nucleic Acid Stain from miniPCR bio delivers on these priorities, offering sensitive DNA visualization, crisp band definition, and an affordable alternative to ethidium bromide and other blue-light-compatible DNA stains.
See more DNA, even at low concentrations
Sensitivity matters. Faint bands can be hard to interpret, especially with small DNA quantities. A stain that makes low-mass DNA easier to visualize can help researchers get more information from every gel.
In a miniPCR bio sensitivity study, SeeGreen was evaluated using serial dilutions of a DNA ladder in a 2% agarose gel pre-stained with SeeGreen at a final concentration of 1X. The gel was run for 20 minutes at 135 V and imaged using a blueBox™ Pro transilluminator and a mobile phone camera.

Under these conditions, DNA bands remained visually discernible at low nanogram and sub-nanogram masses, demonstrating SeeGreen’s potential for sensitive DNA detection in routine gel electrophoresis.
Sharp bands make a difference
Sensitivity is only part of the story. When DNA fragments are similar in size, clear separation and well-defined bands make results easier to interpret.
SeeGreen produces sharp, straight bands with uniform migration, helping distinguish closely sized DNA fragments. Whether you’re checking PCR products, analyzing restriction digests, or working with DNA ladders, crisp band definition supports confident gel interpretation.
A safer alternative to ethidium bromide—with better value
Ethidium bromide has long been used to visualize DNA, but many labs are looking for alternatives that better fit their safety practices and blue-light imaging workflows.
SeeGreen offers an alternative for nucleic acid staining with blue-light-compatible visualization. It also provides a more affordable option than many other safe DNA stains, helping laboratories manage the cost of routine electrophoresis without sacrificing the features that matter: sensitivity and clear band definition.
For teaching labs, research groups, and other settings where gels run regularly, consumable costs add up. A stain that combines strong visual performance with accessible pricing can make a meaningful difference.
Clear results. Accessible science.
From classroom investigations to everyday molecular biology workflows, DNA stains should make results easier to see—not make routine experiments more expensive.
With SeeGreen, miniPCR bio brings together sensitive DNA visualization, sharp band resolution, and affordability in one nucleic acid stain.
