Webinar: Hemophilia Genetics Lab
Join Dr. Kristin Hennessy-McDonald on October 30, at 3 PM EST as she introduces the Hemophilia Genetics Lab: X-Linked Inheritance Learning Lab. This 45-minute webinar will explain how teachers can effectively integrate gel electrophoresis into their teaching of non-Mendelian inheritance.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate how your students can step into the role of a physician treating baby Andrew. He is a newborn recently diagnosed with hemophilia A, an X-linked bleeding disorder caused by a mutation in the F8 gene. Their mission? Determine whether Andrew’s immediate relatives are carriers of the same mutation.
This webinar’s recording will remain accessible to all registrants after the live session. These webinars are free and open to the public. Students, teachers, and the general public are all welcome to participate!
